MakeMy.Name

Hey, if you're looking for a way to rapid create unique names for your business, website domain name, product, video game character, pet, new automobile or boat, progeny, or anything else that requires it's own moniker, check out MakeMy.Name.

MakeMy.Name is a great tool for finding the name you need for your company, website or product. Even if the names MakeMy.Name creates aren't "the one" the first time around, it really helps to get your creative juices flowing. If you don't like the first batch of 21 names it creates, just hit the "create" button again for another unique batch of great names to choose from!

MakeMy.Name has three cool ways to create a unique name:

  1. First, it can work completely randomly;

  2. Second, you can type in a character you'd like the name to begin with; the rest of the word is created randomly by the name generation engine. For instance, check out random names that begin with the letter S;

  3. Third, you can enter in a word that you'd like the randomly generated word to be somewhat related to. For instance, MakeMy.Name can generate names from words like Software, Funk, or Racecar. The upshot of the Related Words method is MakeMy.Name will also recommend words which are wildly related to the one you typed in, giving you yet another way to find the exact name you're looking for.

Sun referenced my JDJ article on Java Studio Creator 2

Thought this was interesting... well. OK. It probably isn't interesting to you. It's basically completely narcissistic for me to post this. But still. It is my blog. So there. :p

Cringley's Response

Dear Jason,

I can easily see Google competing with Akamai, but I don't think they
really want to be an ISP because that would just drag down their
earnings.

All the best,

Bob
